Unique retro style nixie tube clock. R G B LED backlight. Nixie tubes once very popular were superseded by modern LCD and LED display and are no longer produced. They were often used in calculators, measuring devices or first computers between 1950s and 1970s. One major advantage of the nixie tube is that its cathodes are typographically designed, shaped for legibility. Unlike modern displays, nixies each digit is individually shaped resembling handwriting numerals. Tubes are brand new and comes from old stock (so called NOS). Tubes have removed red filter for better backlight visibility. Tubes are installed in small boards with sockets for easy replacing when needed. Offered clock is assembled with the use of new, high quality parts and tested.
