Nixie Clock Kit with six IN-17 N. O. S. Nixie tubes

  

This is a kit for anyone with experience of soldering SMD parts down to 0805 with confidence. This is NOT an assembled clock. The design is based on the Open Source PRISM Nixie clock by Ian Sparkes.

Six New Old Stock IN-17 nixie tubes are included with this kit. This is a fully featured WiFi enabled 6 digit Nixie Time Piece. The kit consists of three boards, one for the controller, one for the HV drivers and one for the Nixie Tubes. The kit does NOT include a mains adapter - you will need a 12V supply with a barrel connector 2.1mm/5.5mm centre positive.

The kit includes a genuine NCH8200HV HV boost converter from Omnixie. This kit is available for sale elsewhere. WiFi connection for NTP Time Sync and Web gui for configuration - this clock works best with WiFi. The is NO RTC chip with this kit though the software does support it, you can fit one if desired though with WiFi there is absolutely no need to. Direct Drive - no multiplexing - HV5622 drivers from Microchip are included (SMD QFP-44 package).

Customisable tube underlighting via six neopixels with customisable effects. Automatic timezone and Daylight Saving. Case made from 3D printed and laser cut acrylic parts, all required fixings are included. As this kit features SMD components it is only suitable for anyone with experience of soldering these parts with confidence.
