The Naboo is a small stylish contemporary Nixie Clock, contained within a sleek stainless steel case and uses 4 off original German Z570M Nixie tubes that date back to the late 1980's.

The clock itself is completely hand assembled and tested in the UK. Made as a smaller version of the T-1000, the Naboo has 4 tubes, blue under-lighting, 12/24 hour mode, and leading zero suppression. Nixie tubes were invented in 1955, and were a means for early electronic devices to display numbers. They consist of a clear glass tube, with the numbers from 0 - 9 are stacked behind each other. The tube is filled with neon gas and then sealed.

Each digit has its own connection, and when a small electrical current is applied, the neon gas around the digit is ionized, which causes the distinctive orange glow. There is no heat produced, so the tubes can last up to 20 years. 5.5"L x 3.5"W x 3H.
